Lately I’ve been trying to get photos of really small bees. Bumble bees and honey bees are easy to spot in my garden, but the smaller bees have needed a bit more patience from me. I think many of these are NZ native bees, and I’ve put them onto iNaturalist to try to get ID’s
I’ve also seen tiny gorgeous Masked Bees (hylaeus) in the garden but I’ve not been fast enough to get a picture of one yet!
