Lavender and Bumble Bees

I picked up a couple of clearance bin (aka root-bound, grey, and nearly dead) lavenders last autumn.

Despite the internet telling me lavender wouldn’t do well in this climate, I’d seen a couple of neighbours with lavender growing well. (Good idea to be nosey and look at other peoples gardens, right???)

The rescued lavenders sat looking like dead plants all winter and I was losing hope.
But close to the heat trap of the house they survived the snow and frosts and eventually I was happily surprised to see them burst into colour this spring.
